They are baby turtles I bought for Naqiyah as an Eid present. She's absolutely thrilled with them :) I'm glad.. she was jumping with joy at having her own pets. Nd they are just like her! Shy - kept trying to dig under each other, until i put up a shell in such a way that they could go under it and have a roof over their head sort of. Also as yet they don't eat! I don't know, since yesterday am intermittently trying to give them turtle food, some vegetables etc. Hope they start eating soon!
Also for turtles about 30 deg centigrade is preferred temp. Since my house is completely central AC, I'm worried they shall be cold.. Outside in Balcony, temp shall go upto 40 degrees by day.. have to keep them out in evenings, and inside by day or something...
I know, its a bit of a doing, but Naqiyah is thrilled and so am I. I just wish I could get a cat or a dog, but its not possible, given my travelling habit, no one to take care of them in my absense. Turtles, atleast, I can send over to Umaima's place ~ they are pretty good at making themselves scarce, wont scare her, or get in her way. Nway, Naqiyah will take care of them... I think!
